Saying I am sorry for not posting in over a month just does not say enough! I have really been busy with the holidays and getting everything set at the office so that Travis and I would feel okay about being away for a week. It seems that all of our preparing and hard work have paid off! We are finally in Winter Park, Colorado for our annual ski trip with our friends Scott and Kari. This trip so far has been really fun and a great getaway! Thanks to our awesome office staff, Rusty and Mary, we felt so good about leaving our LIFE in their hands for 4 business days. Although we are on vacation, I have had a heck of a time sleeping hence the reason I have been up since 3:30 a.m. mountain time (good time to update the old blog). Once we get back on Sunday, I will add pictures of our adventures!
I have some great news to share! Jill and Bill are pregnant with their 2nd baby GIRL, and I am so please to announce that her name will be Ella Kay! Jill told me that her and Bill knew that if they had a girl they wanted to name her after me, that just melted my heart:) Zoie actually is the one that called me one night and shared the name with Travis and me while on speaker...although Zoie most often adds to the end when someone else says the name "No, No Ella Trabis" (as she so lovingly calls Trav). Ella Kay is due to arrive mid-May and we cannot wait for her to get here. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers as Bill is starting a new job as Assistant Manager in February and Jill is really hoping to get to stay home with both girls come August.
Speaking of babies, Travis and I have not given up quite yet. We are going to give fertility a couple of more rounds! We had to hold off during December and January, unfortunately my bodies timing was off (while you are on the treatment you MUST visit the office every other day and during December our every-other-day fell on Christmas and for January, well we are in Colorado for a couple of what would have been my every-other-days). So when we return, we will have a follow up consultation to go over what went wrong with the last round in November and then our doctor will come up with a new treatment schedule (more than likely still involving more self administered tummy injections) and then we will get going mid-February. So, still moving along, just at a much slower pace than Travis or I had ever hoped for. And for the record, February will be our 28th consecutive month to try for a baby (combined with and without fertility...January marked one year of fertility treatment). We are hoping that February will be our lucky month, we have a lot of special things going on this month. Landon and Owen (our nephews) have birthdays, my best friend Kari has a birthday and Valentines day -this will be Travis and mine 10th Valentines day to spend together, and if we were to get pregnant in February that would put us due sometime near Thanksgiving and that would be incredible! So our road has been a long one, but we are trusting that God has a great destination for this journey we have been traveling!
