Our Visit to Waco

Yesterday Travis and I went to meet the director of Generations Adoptions. The staff was so welcoming and warm. We had a great time and we were able to meet with Laura for over 2 hours. All of our questions and concerns were addressed and at the end of our meeting, we had a rush of reassurance that could have only come from our Savior. Any doubts that we went into yesterday with, are gone! That is the power of God! Travis and I had a great trip back fom Waco discussing the adoption and we both now realize that this void from within, is actually going to be filled with the life of a child coming to be apart of our family. We still have some waiting time, but we could not be more happy with any other agency. We have a refreshed outlook on the things that we have been faced with over the past couple of years and now see that through everything, God was really just preparing our hearts and home for this infant that is getting a chance at life with 2 parents that will love him/her more than life itself!

The next step is a very thorough application process that includes background checks, auto biographies, a scapbook that will be shown to the birthmother when choosing the parents for her little one, and much more paperwork. We are very excited and have already started preparing our packet so that we can get all of the required information turned in ASAP.

Thank you for all of your love, support, and prayers. Yesterday went better than we could have ever imagined and we know that God has His hands over this situation as he prepares the perfect match between the birthmother and us. I will continue to post with updates as we move closer and closer!
