We are back in Texas and we could tell right away. With the humidity and warmer weather it
was not hard to notice we were home. We had a great time and spent 6 days in Winter Park. Actually we only ended up in Winter Park for 4 and 1/2 days. The first day we arrived, we shopped at the Denver mall for the first part of the day and then on the end of our trip we headed back to Denver a day early because the pass was likely to be closed the morning we needed to get to the airport, due to the amount of snow and high winds we were getting. It was a good thing we decided to come back Saturday night and to get a hotel, we are pretty sure the pass was closed Sunday, when we woke up it was snowing and the runways were iced over. Anyhow, we had a great trip. The guys ended up skiing for 4 days and Kari and I only skied for 2, we spent the other 2 days shopping, getting our hair done, and trying out some new
restaurants in town. All in all, we had a great time. My favorite time was the afternoon we went tubing down the side of the hill/mountain thing...not really sure what it technically is. But it was steep and
really fun! I still do not have those pictures because I used my water
camera that day, but here are some more pictures from the trip, as promised.
It was snowing as Kari and I shopped in the Ski Village
Scott, Kari, Me and Travis
Travis was lovin' every moment
The ride on the lift was a little breezy
We had to wait for our plane to thaw!
